Same. I could not wait for that bland and predictable show to end.

Come on, you forgot 'Forum', 'Company' and 'A Little Night Music' because that guy was a totally undeserving slacker.

"you forgot..."

I forgot nothing.

The subject of the  thread was the "worst," not every undeserving Best Musical Tony Award winner, which the shows you mentioned obviously represent.

Please read carefully.

Since 'worst' is a superlative- meaning 'the least good'- I reasonably assumed you were ignoring the correct meaning by offering more than one suggestion.  Hence a few more suggestions to delight you.  Don't tell me your comprehension is 'the worst'!

"I reasonably assumed"

To assume is to presume. Kindly do neither.

When five entities lie together at  the bottom of the barrel, they all constitute the worst.

In the Heights. The fact that it got a Pulitzer nom was somewhat unbelievable. I mean a lottery sub plot? That's the oldest cheapest trick in the book. I think they did that on the final season of Rosanne. It was a weak year to begin with. The other nominees were Xanadu, Passing Strange, and Cry Baby.

The lottery subplot only really bothered me in the sense that the amount of money wasn't life-changing in the way they were treating it. Why not make it a few million so it's conceivable that Usnavi can afford to live on it in the DR after taxes and splitting it with Sonny?

So now the dictionary is wrong?

Your posts are spectacular.  (Now what will be your devastating retort?)

Here's another vote for "Memphis." The dancing and choreography were great, but I agree that everything was predictable. Also, why on earth would a beautiful and talented young woman fall for an illiterate man? It was insulting to me as a woman to imply that any man will do. If I were African-American, I would probably be insulted by the probably unintended implication that an illiterate white man is good enough for a black woman.

Ugh!

But they were all kind of poor, right? so like one of the people from their neighborhood winning $96,000 really was like a big deal and life-changing for them. Maybe $96,000 wouldn't change your life but there are lots of people whose it would.
