An Enchanting Summer Evening of Comedy Under the Stars
Spend a magical summer evening in the historic courtyard of Reynolds Tavern with Molière's sparkling comedy of romance, wit, and mistaken intentions. Set against the charm and beauty of one of Annapolis' most treasured landmarks, The School for Wives brings classic theatre to life in an unforgettable outdoor experience.
Follow the hilariously overconfident Arnolphe as his carefully crafted plans for love begin to unravel, leading to a delightful whirlwind of deception, laughter, and unexpected surprises. Filled with clever wordplay, lively characters, and timeless humor, this beloved comedy proves that love has a way of defying even the best-laid plans.
Running throughout the summer season in the beautiful outdoor courtyard at Reynolds Tavern, The School for Wives is the perfect way to enjoy an evening of professional theatre, historic charm, and unforgettable entertainment under the stars.
Not only is Classic Theatre of Maryland celebrating a decade of providing courageous and invigorating experiences for audiences, but the holiday season brings in two more reasons to celebrate: White Christmas and A Christmas Carol.
Classic Theatre of Maryland has announced its 2021/22 season which includes a line-up of original productions, including musicals, comedies and reinterpretations of classic plays. The company will be back at Reynold’s Tavern in the late spring of 2022.
