Laurel Mill Playhouse announces auditions for Company which will take place on Thursday, March 11at 7:00pm and on Saturday March 13 at 10am. Eight women and six men are needed. Actors may audition bringing sheet music for the accompanist that will be provided. Sixteen bars of a ballad or up tempo song will be requested. Company will open on May 21 and run through Sunday, June 13. Performances will run on Friday and Saturday evenings with two selected Sunday matinees.

In celebration of Stephen Sondheim's 80th birthday this year, Theatre Hopkins will open its 88th season with a concert version of the legendary musical Follies. With book by James Goldman and featuring Stephen Sondheim's celebrated score and lyrics, Follies will run through Sunday, Feb. 28, at the Swirnow Theater on the Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

The Strand Theater is committed to producing plays by obscure, unknown, and unpublished playwrights. This season, obscurity comes in the form of two living dolls and one young woman trapped in the shadow of her mother's photographic images in The Lacy Project by playwright Alena Smith. The Lacy Project was selected from a group of thirty new plays submitted to the Strand for possible production.

The historic Belmont Manor House and Rep Stage's Michael Stebbins (director of 'A Dickens of a Carol') present 'The Poe Show,' a combination theatrical/dining experience featuring Tony Tsendeas as narrator of Edgar Allen Poe's most demented masterworks. Performed pieces include 'The Black Cat,' 'The Tell-Tale Heart,' 'The Conqueror Worm,' 'Alone' and 'The Raven.' Similar to Rep Stage's recent production of 'A Dickens of a Carol,' tickets to 'The Poe Show' include a four-course meal. The show will play its final performance on February 27, 2010.

Dundalk Community Theatre will be opening its second show of the season, Altar Boys, February 26th. The hit off-Broadway musical that's been described as 'The Jonas Brothers meet Nunsense'. Performances are February 26, 27, 28 and March 5, 6 & 7, with Friday and Saturday shows 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets are $22 for general admission, $19 for seniors and $14 for students.
