Spotlighters Theatre announces will be holding auditions for HAMMARSKJOLD on June 5th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Spotlighters Theatre (817 Saint Paul St.) The play was written by Ronald McKinney and is a Baltimore Playwrights Festival production. The student cast features: Bradley Bowers as Huck, Jeremy Griffith as Jim, Tim Flaharty as Tom Sawyer, Kelsey Lake as Mary Jane, Dan Hasty as the King, and Brandon Montell as the Duke. Silhouette Stages, Inc. announces the regional premiere production of the celebrated musical within a comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone on May 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 8 pm and May 23 and 30 at 3 pm. All performances will take place at Slayton House on 14100 Cross Fox Lane, Columbia, MD 21044. Conni Ross and Debra Mobley direct this modern masterpiece with choreography by Lori Pryor and Timoth David Copney and music direction by Keith Tittermary. Tickets are $15 or $12 for students and seniors and will be sold at the door.

It's our love (hate?) letter to high school: 'Rebel without a Cause' meets 'The Outsiders,' crossed with 'Breakfast Club' and 'Glee.'

Theatre Hopkins will open its final production of the season, the Maryland premiere of the musical comedy, The Glorious Ones on Friday, June 11, at the Swirnow Theater in the Mattin Center on The Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore. The score and book are by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who received the Tony Award for their musical Ragtime. The production is directed and choreographed by Todd Pearthree.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is preparing to welcome Charlie Brown and the Peanuts Gang for a special presentation of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown this spring. The family friendly musical based on the Charles M. Schulz comic strip will play a limited engagement of four performances only at the theatre. Known for its Mainstage productions, which have included regional premieres as well as, classic Broadway productions, and its one-of-a-kind Children's Theatre, which bring original musical adaptations of fairytales to life on the stage, Way Off Broadway is set to blend the two for what is being billed as a 'Family Theatre' presentation.
