Stage Entertainment, James L. Nederlander and Tali Pelman, in association with Tina Turner, have announced that Tina - The Tina Turner Musical will star Nkeki Obi-Melekwe in the title role  beginning Tuesday, November 2, 2021. An original Broadway cast member, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe played Tina in the West End production and plays Tina at certain performances in the Broadway production as the Tina alternate.  

CBS has just shared the opening number to their fall preview, led by Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford! In the dazzling opening, Ashford is joined by her fellow CBS stars Beth Behrs and Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood), Iain Armitage and Annie Potts (Young Sheldon), Folake Olowofoyeku (Bob Hearts Abishola), Wayne Brady (Let's Make a Deal) and Amanda Kloots (The Talk).

Performances begin off-Broadway in New York City on Wednesday, November 24 in the Jerry Orbach Theater at The Theater Center (1627 Broadway), with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, November 30. The musical will also be premiering in Chicago this winter. Performance dates, venue, and casting of that production will be announced shortly.

In a Broadway first, The Lion King will exclusively partner with TikTok to stream the production’s iconic opening number, “Circle Of Life,” on September 14 in celebration of the hit show’s return to the stage, 18 months after the shutdown of Broadway.

The American Ballet Theatre has been named the official dance company of Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Segerstrom Center for the Arts President Casey Reitz and American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Executive Director Kara Medoff Barnett announced today a three-year partnership combining the resources of America’s National Ballet Company and one of the nation’s leading presenters of dance.
