This summer's most spectacular Hollywood blockbuster will not be found in the movie theater this year but rather at Rockwell: Table & Stage with For The Record: Zemeckis. Over the past two years the 'For The Record' series has brought the movies to life as never seen before in a stunning 360-degree live theatrical concert experience. For The Record: Zemeckis officially opened Friday, May 31, 2013. Weekly performances are Thursday -Sunday at 8:30PM and will run through Saturday, July 20. Cabrillo Music Theatre welcomes a new gang in the theatre's premiere of the classic rock 'n' roll musical, GREASE. Guided by Director Barry Pearl ('Doody' in the film version of 'Grease') and Choreographer Kelly Ward ('Putzie' in the movie) and Musical Director David O, GREASE provides a showcase for 16 talented young people in this classic rock n' roll musical. GREASE opened on Friday, April 12th, 2013, and plays until Sunday, April 21st, at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks. Musical Theatre West presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's OKLAHOMA!, which opened last night, February 16, and continues through March 3, 2013. Davis Gaines (LA's Phantom of the Opera, Ovation Award winner for Musical Theatre West's Man of La Mancha) makes his Los Angeles-area directorial debut with this production. To kick off its twelfth season, Men Alive - The Orange County Gay Men's Chorus welcomed a very special guest star: the legendary Liza Minnelli. This concert marked her first appearance in Orange County, CA in almost twenty years. This inimitable showbiz icon performed with the chorus at the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall on the campus of The Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa for 'Liza Minnelli with MenAlive in A WINTER SPECTACULAR'-an evening of Broadway hits, Pop Standards, and, of course, Holiday Music.
