Following recent U.S. dates which wrapped July 20 in Los Angeles, singer, songwriter and musician RICKIE LEE JONES is planning another run of shows before she heads to Europe for shows in the fall. The latest shows kick off October 7 in Asheville, NC and wrap October 23 in Minnesota. The European tour launches October 27 with a festival appearance at the Bluesfest at O2 Arena in London. RICKIE LEE's tour dates follow the release of KICKS, her newest collection of songs from the great American songbook, which was released in June.

Game Show Network has that announced Alfonso Ribeiro (“Americas Funniest Videos”) has returned as host of its CATCH 21 reboot. Witney Carson (“Dancing with the Stars”) joins as card dealer, reuniting the former dance partners in a game show first.

The Lumineers have announced a 2020 headlining North American tour of arenas and amphitheatres. The tour dates are in support of their upcoming album III out September 13 on Dualtone (an Entertainment One Company) in the U.S. and Canada, and on Decca Records for the rest of the world. Mt. Joy, who recently emerged as “a fast and furious 21st century success story” (Magnet), has been added as support for multiple dates. The Frogs have announced the reissue of their LP It's Only Right And Natural.  The news was announced on BrooklynVegan along with the track 'I've Got Drugs (Out of the Mist)'. It is the 30th anniversary of the album's release and is remastered in stereo. The album was one of Kurt Cobain's favorites. It was #14 on Kurt's infamous list of Top 50 albums. All Music also has praised the album saying, “The insane secret of the record is it's perfect” 

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) presented $3.8 million at their annual Grants Banquet held at The Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Calif. The Hulu Scripted Originals content team is joining forces with Walt Disney Television to integrate development of original scripted drama and comedy programming for the streaming service with Disney's expansive television resources. With this alignment, Craig Erwich, senior vice president of Scripted Originals for Hulu, will report to Dana Walden, chairman of Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment. Erwich will continue to lead scripted originals planning, development and commissioning for Hulu's original comedies and dramas, and his team will remain housed within the Santa Monica Hulu headquarters.

FX Networks today announced that its critically acclaimed comedy series Baskets will come to an end with the show's season four finale on Thursday, August 22 on FX.

Lana Del Rey has announced her highly anticipated return to the road with a run of shows across the U.S. this fall. Produced by Live Nation, the eight-city outing will kick off September 21st in New York and make stops in Seattle, Portland and more before wrapping October 11th in San Diego, CA. The highly anticipated trek will also include an October 10th date at the famous Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. SHOWTIME has given a straight-to-series order to the drama RUST, starring Emmy winner and Tony® and Golden Globe® nominee Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Godless, The Looming Tower), who will executive produce and reteam with Oscar nominee Dan Futterman (Capote). Futterman will write multiple episodes of the series, which is co-produced with Platform One Media and based on Philipp Meyer's celebrated debut novel American Rust. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

Craig Finn has announced another series of live dates surrounding his acclaimed new solo album, I Need A New War. The headline tour – which sees Finn backed by his touring band, The Uptown Controllers – begins November 1 at Austin, TX's Cactus Cafe Presents at the Texas Union Theater before heading to the west coast. Support for this round of US dates only will be Cassandra Jenkins, who appears on I Need A New War and joined Finn for a special concert performance at Brooklyn, NY's Murmrr Theatre earlier this year. Sundance Institute, in collaboration with Science Sandbox, an initiative of the Simons Foundation, announced the expansion of the Science Sandbox Nonfiction Initiative, alongside the initial nine science-focused independent projects selected for support this year. The initiative, first introduced in 2018, aims to elevate the voices of independent artists working at the intersection of science and nonfiction storytelling, as well as to encourage critical thinking, promote educated discourse and highlight the overlap of science and art.

Good Deed Entertainment announces that they have taken all North American rights to the documentary AUDREY, a feature documentary on legendary Hollywood star Audrey Hepburn, from BAFTA-nominated producers Salon Pictures, and financed by Head Gear Films and Metrol Technology. UPHE Content Group has acquired international rights. The title is slated for a 2020 North American theatrical release. 

HISTORY's new three-part nonfiction miniseries 'The Food That Built America,' premiering August 11 at 9PM ET/PT, tells the incredible stories of innovation and rivalries behind food industry tycoons Milton Hershey, John and Will Kellogg, Henry Heinz, C.W. Post, the McDonald brothers and more. Many people know the products, but few know the stories of everlasting grit and determination that made these names the household brands that America knows and loves. 'The Food That Built America' will air on HISTORY on consecutive nights with parts two and three debuting on August 12 and 13, respectively, both at 9PM ET/PT.

Season one of Christina on the Coast, which finaled Thursday, July 18, delivered a .70 live plus three-day rating among P25-54 - a 32% increase in the demo for the Thursday 9-9:30 p.m. ET/PT timeslot over the prior six weeks. The series, starring real estate and design expert Christina Anstead, helped HGTV rank as the #2 cable net in the timeslot among W25-54 and in the top 5 networks among upscale P25-54. Christina on the Coast attracted more than 12 million total viewers during the season.

Ovation TV, America's only arts network, has announced the lineup of legacy episodes from Inside the Actors Studio leading to the new season premiere on October 13. Showcasing a wide range of talented actors and hosted by the incomparable James Lipton, these legacy episodes demonstrate the incredible talent participation and entertaining storytelling of the long-running series. Throughout August and September, the network will air one legacy episode every Sunday at 12pm ET, starting on August 11.
