CollegeHumor today announced that Gods of Food, a mockumentary culinary profile series, will debut on their subscription-based streaming service DROPOUT on Thursday, August 8. The six-episode season will skewer the gamut of fine dining tropes, from the overly rustic chef to the esoteric molecular gastronomist. A new episode will be released every Thursday through September 12.

A powerful new docuseries, “Addiction Unplugged,” will premiere on A&E August 17 at 1PM ET, it was announced today. Created by Stuart Goffman, produced by Addiction Buzz with Subculture Films, and executive produced by Stuart Goffman, Allen J West, and Brandon Dumlao the ten-episode docuseries will focus on a wide array of different addiction and recovery scenarios. The Country Music Association's acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance in Phoenix at Mesa Arts Center's Piper Repertory Theater Wednesday, Aug. 21 featuring Lauren Alaina, Ingrid Andress, Marti Lynn Dodson and Mickey Guyton. The series hosts an intimate round of performances with some of Country Music's top songwriters taking turns sharing the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. Naveen Andrews has come on board to star in a film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin's runaway bestseller THE STORIED LIFE OF A.J. FIKRY. Hans Canosa will direct from Zevin's adaptation of her own novel. Canosa, Zevin and Claude Dal Farra, Brice Dal Farra and Brian Keady of BCDF Pictures are producers.
