Aurora Theatre Welcomes Two New Staff Members

In preparation for an ambitious 2016-17 Season, Aurora Theatre proudly announces the addition of two new members, Renita James and Lauren Robinson, to its full-time staff. With this addition, Aurora Theatre now boasts a staff of 16 employees and more than 300 part-time and contract workers.

A 1986 Tony Award winner, Herb Gardner's I'M NOT RAPPAPORT is the final show in the Aurora Theatre's 20th anniversary season. Through its endearing dialogue, wit and thought-provoking moments, the matinee showing on Sunday, May 8-Mother's Day-kept the audience of primarily senior citizens laughing at the relatability while reflecting on the universal truths conveyed.
5th Annual Atlanta Fringe Festival Kicks Off 6/8

The Atlanta Fringe Festival is proud to return to Little Five Points for the fifth consecutive year, once again bringing hundreds of local and national performers together for a four-day celebration of live performances from all over the theatrical spectrum. This year's productions run a wild gamut, from family-friendly magic shows to puppetry, modern dance, aerial acrobatics, improv comedy and everything in between, featuring fourteen companies from the Atlanta area. The festival is set to run June 9-12, 2016, with every act performing a 3-minute excerpt from their show at a free preview party Wednesday, June 8 at 7 Stages.

?The Fox Theatre announced today the official movie lineup for the 2016 Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival held at the Fox Theatre, including the Opening Night selection "Purple Rain" this Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. Fans are invited to join in celebrating the legacy of Prince, as the date marks exactly one month since his legendary performance at the Fox Theatre. Special guest organist, Atlanta Hawks' famed Sir Foster, will be commanding Mighty Mo for an exclusive pre-show Prince tribute. The Fox Theatre will glow purple, as audiences will receive complimentary purple glow sticks on a first come, first serve basis.
