True Colors Theatre to Host PROOF Talk on Mental Health Stigma in African American Community

Fox Theatre Reveals Name and Renderings for New Premium Lounge

The Fox Theatre today revealed renderings with the official name of the aforementioned premium space now known as the 'Marquee Club' which is slated to open Fall 2017. The Fox Theatre's most significant expansion since its opening to the public in 1929, the renovation will total 10,000 square-feet of premier event space including nearly 4,000 square-feet of rooftop terrace. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy enhanced food and beverage service within Marquee Club's five stationary bars, as well as passed and displayed hors d'oeuvres. Overlooking Atlanta's famed Peachtree Street, Marquee Club will enable public access to the Fox Theatre's roof for the first time in nearly 50 years. The rooftop terrace will include a combination of indoor, solarium and outdoor spaces for climate-controlled, cooled or fully outdoor spaces.

Interdisciplinary theatre maker Ryan Conarro, who came to Gainesville from New York to direct the first show on GTA's Discovery Series last month, is completing his residency at GTA with a performance of a one-man show he has been developing: SAINTS OF FAILURE which will perform without charge for audiences Oct. 13-15 at UNG-Gainesville's Ed Cabell Theatre, 3820 Mundy Mill Rd., Oakwood.

The Ghastly Dreadfuls returns to the Center for Puppetry Arts, October 12-29 for a 10th season of spine-tingling storytelling with a cast of characters that has made it an Atlanta cult classic. Artistic director Jon Ludwig describes the evening as, "a kind of dark vaudeville with a variety of performance styles and sensibilities. There's really something for everybody." The evening is a compendium of ghost stories and spectacle with puppets, live music and dance.
