Two-time Tony Award® nominated Broadway favorite, Carolee Carmello, now starring as "Donna Sheridan" in MAMMA MIA! at the Winter Garden Theatre, will receive one of the theater's most coveted honors when her portrait is hung on the legendary walls of Sardi's Restaurant on Tuesday, May 19th, 2009 at 6:00p.

Carolee Carmello made her Broadway debut in 1989's City of Angels and has appeared in nine Broadway musicals, garnering Tony Award® nominations for her roles in Jason Robert Brown's Parade and Elton John's Lestat.

She first joined the Broadway cast of MAMMA MIA! during the 2004-2005 season, and returned to her starring role in 2006 following a performing hiatus. Carmello has starred as "Donna Sheridan" on Broadway longer than any other actress.

Seen by over 40 million people around the world, MAMMA MIA!, is celebrating over 3,000 performances in its eighth smash hit year at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre.

The original West End production of MAMMA MIA! is celebrating 10 years and more than 4,000 performances in London, an international tour has visited more than 40 foreign cities, and the blockbuster feature film adaptation, produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, is the most successful movie musical of all time grossing $600 million worldwide.
