Come to Fort Caspar Museum on Saturday, November 11th for back-to-back family fun. Drop in between 1:00 and 3:00 pm for this month's "Fremont Family Funday" hands-on workshop, then stick around for "Fremont's Story & Craft Hour" at 3:00 pm. The topic of this month's Funday program is "Make a Hand Turkey," and the Story Hour book will be "The Hole Story: A Children's Story About Prairie Wildlife."

For the Hand Turkey workshop, participants may drop in any time between 1:00 and 3:00 pm; no reservations are needed. Families can get in the mood for Thanksgiving by drawing fun turkeys using the shape of their hands. They will also learn about Wyoming's population of wild turkeys as well as other native birds.

At 3:00 pm, we will shift gears and read "The Hole Story." This is a book produced by the Badlands Natural History Association to teach children about prairie animals, including black-footed ferrets. Kids may then draw pictures of wildlife art inspired by the book.

Both programs are open to all ages and are free with paid museum admission, which is free for children ages 12 years and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Fort Caspar Museum's hours in November are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission prices are $1.50 for adults; $1 for youth (ages 13-18 years); free for children (12 years and younger) and for Museum members. For information, call the Museum at 307-235-8462, or visit our website at www.fortcasparwyoming.com. Fort Caspar Museum is located at 4001 Fort Caspar Road.
