Bricusse's prolific body of film works includes Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice, Doctor Dolittle, Scrooge, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Superman, Victor/Victoria, Santa Claus, Home Alone, Hook, Tom & Jerry, various Pink Panther movies and Goodbye, Mr. Chips.  In addition to Jekyll & Hyde, his numerous stage credits are Stop the World I Want To Get Off, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd, Pickwick, Scrooge, Sherlock Holmes, and Dr. Dolittle. Throughout his flourishing four decade career, Bricusse has been nominated for 10 Oscars, 8 Grammys and 4 Tonys. Peter Primont, CEO of Cherry Lane, commented on the renewal: "We're thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Leslie Bricusse, one of the great songwriters of stage and screen."

Bricusse added: "I have always enjoyed the highly compatible relationship I have had with Peter Primont and his hotshot team at Cherry Lane. Among the new projects we will all be working on together, starting in 2008, are a musical adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac, Sammy, a musical look at the life of Sammy Davis Jr., who, during his career recorded sixty of my songs, and The Pink Panther Musical, which I am currently working on with Blake Edwards.  I love all three projects, and hope the theatre-going public will too!"
