Ambassador Groups were named Runners-Up in the Best Ticketing Agency category at this year's Group Travel Awards.

In addition, Ambassador Groups also sponsored the award for best on-line information service - which was won by Visit Britain.

The Group Travel Awards is the annual celebration of the very best suppliers to the group travel industry. Each year the 10,000 readers of Group Travel Organiser magazine are asked to vote for who they think are the best suppliers in more than 20 categories.

From pre-visit information and transport planning to accommodation and visitor attractions, the Group Travel Awards cover all aspects of putting together group trips.

The results are announced as part of gala evening of entertainment held annually in London in June, regularly attended by over 400 key members of the travel trade.

This years Group Travel Awards were presented on 12 June at the four star Tower Guoman Hotel next to Tower Bridge. The event was hosted by Travel expert and presenter Simon Calder.
