Disney Theatrical Productions just announced full casting for the eagerly anticipated North American tour of Broadway's Tony® Award-winning smash hit musical, Disney's NEWSIES. Rehearsals began on Wednesday, September 3 in New York City in preparation for the first performance on Saturday, October 11 in Schenectady, NY at Proctors. Disney Theatrical Productions and Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta announced today that tickets for the highly anticipated Atlanta engagement of Disney's NEWSIES will go on sale to the public on Sunday, October 19 at 10 a.m. The Tony Award-winning production will begin performances at the Fox Theatre on Tuesday, January 20 for a limited one week engagement through Sunday, January 25 as part of the 2014/2015 Broadway in Atlanta series. Katie Brayben to Star in West End's BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL, February

Katie Brayben will play the title role in the West End production of Beautiful - The Carole King Musicalopening at the Aldwych Theatre in February next year. Alan Morrissey will play King's husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, with Lorna Want as song-writer Cynthia Weil, Glynis Barber as Genie Klein, King's mother, and Gary Trainor as music publisher and producer Don Kirshner. London previews beginning on 10 February 2015 and with the show currently booking to 13 June 2015. Press night will now take place on 24 February at 7pm. Final casting will be announced shortly. FROZEN Characters to Reunite for Upcoming Short Film, Updated Information!

During Tuesday's THE STORY OF FROZEN: MAKING A DISNEY ANIMATED CLASSIC, the House of Mouse announced that in addition to the upcoming sing-a-long DVD and FROZEN: ON ICE, the entire FROZEN cast of characters will be brought back together for a short film, complete with a new song. Host Josh Gad didn't reveal any other details, but fans ages 4 to 104 are probably already eagerly waiting. (more...)

Debra Whitfield directs a cast that features Jim DiMunno Tim Dowd, Michael Engberg, Amy Handra, Darrell Purcell, Joshua Quat, Stewart A. Schneck, and Jenn Susi. This limited run continues through September 21st only. Olympics Über Alles will have scenic and lighting design by Duane Pagano with costume design by Janice O'Donnell and sound and projections design by Paul Bourgeois.
