Based on a story developed with Susan Yankowitz

"Baby" tells the story of three couples on a university campus as they deal with the painful, rewarding and agonizingly funny consequences of this universal experience. There are the college students, barely at the beginning of their adult lives; the 30-somethings, having trouble conceiving but determined to try; and the middle aged parents, looking forward to seeing their last child graduate from college when a night of unexpected passion lands them back where they started.

BWW Interview: Maury Yeston Talks DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY Ahead of London Opening
by Liz Cearns - Sep 30, 2016

Maury Yeston, the composer and lyricist best-known for Nine and Titanic, visited the West End a few months before the West End opening of his new musical, Death Takes a Holiday. Based on a film (which was based on a play) this story tells of how Death changed his perspective. He used to not quite understand why everyone he came to collect was quite so aggrieved to die, until he met a particular woman who allowed him to realise quite what makes life worth clinging to. The side effect of Death's occupation being, though, that he can't collect anyone else while he's so distracted - Death the person and death the concept take a break!  Maury was kind enough to discuss his musical background, some of his better-known works and his latest venture for the stage. by Lauren Gienow - Sep 30, 2016

“Catastrophe And The Cure”—The second episode of season 13 of GREY'S ANATOMY aired last night, and the show continues to move each plot forward in interesting ways—Alex continues to face the repercussions of his assault on Deluca—personally, professionally, and legally; Both Jo and Deluca also have to face the emotional and professional fallout of Alex's actions; the Meredith/Maggie/Riggs love triangle continues its slow and awkward burn toward inevitable hurt feelings—even though Meredith somehow seems to think that this is avoidable; Jackson and April work to figure out the whole parenting-while-divorced-and-while-mom-is-recovering-from-surgery thing; and Owen and Amelia adapt to being married and therefore kind of needing to communicate with each other—a skill at which this couple has always fluctuated from being awful to amazing. Those fluctuations continued last night. (more...)

Halo Publishing International Releases 'The Biggest Little Brother'
by BWW News Desk - Sep 28, 2016

An only child having to adjust to a new Baby is a familiar tale; however, what happens when a new, older, brother comes into the family? Sowa is the oldest sibling and is used to helping his Mom and Dad and his Baby sister Naiya. But when his big brother, Hindo, moves from Sierra Leone to live with them in Atlanta he suddenly realizes that he isn't the oldest anymore. First time children's author Aminata Jalloh (http://halopublishing.com/4i-l/aminata-jalloh.html), knows a little bit about how that feels having experienced a similar situation in her young life. 'As I looked at children's literature for a story that would examine the changes siblings face when an immigrant relative moves in, I realized there wasn't anything out there that really addresses those challenges,' said Aminata Jalloh. 'I wanted to create a story that lovingly addresses some of the differences immigrant families face while still offering a book children would want to read.' 'The Biggest Little Brother' is exactly that; offering a main character in Sowa that wants to be helpful and is so excited to welcome this new member of the family. His desire to be a sibling leader and teacher is momentarily shaken when he realizes that he is no longer the big brother in the family. 'In writing this book my desire was to portray a 'non-traditional' family structure in a way that will resonate with any young child,' said Jalloh. 'I also hope to provide reading material that reflects the changing faces and experiences of the American family. 'I just love this story. Aminata has created characters that are honest and easy to relate with. I look forward to more stories with this same family.' While 'The Biggest Little Brother' is her first book, Jalloh is currently writing at least two more children's stories that will continue the saga of Sowa and his siblings. In the meantime, 'The Biggest Little Brother,' is now available from Amazon for $15.95 Buy at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Biggest-Little-Brother-Aminata-Jalloh/dp/1612444679/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473701381&sr=8-1&keywords=Aminata+Jalloh About Aminata Jalloh: Aminata Jalloh lives in Sierra Leone and is an education specialist in the international development field, where she provides technical expertise in the design of literacy curriculums and programs. Aminata's book The Biggest Little Brother. is a children's book focusing on sibling relationships and family change of a West African immigrant family. Book Synopsis Digene Farrar was in New York City, launching the modeling career she'd always dreamed of. The morning of September 11, 2001, she was two blocks away when the first jet crashed into the World Trade Center.
