Inside Broadway has presented a special class-based scholarship program to 75 students at P.S. 5 in The Bronx in memory of the late Broadway veteran from The Bronx Doreen Montalvo who passed-away October 17 following a sudden ailment at age 56.

Word for Word's first production of the 2020 Season is Octavio Solis's Retablos: Stories from A Life Lived Along the Border from his same titled memoir of growing up in El Paso. Retablos: Stories from A Life Lived Along the Border runs February 22 -March 15, in the Z Below Theater in San Francisco. The production is directed by Sheila Balter and Jim Cave and opens with press performance February 22 & 23, Saturday 8 PM & Sunday 3 PM (previews Feb.19- 21).

In the Heights is an original musical that is set over the course of three days, involving characters in the largely Hispanic-American neighborhood of Washington Heights in New York City. Originally conceived by Lin-Manuel Miranda during his sophomore year at Wesleyan University, the musical had its world premiere through their student theater company in April of 2000.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time opens Friday, September 21st, and runs through Sunday, October 14th, with two preview performances on Wednesday, September 19th and Thursday, September 20th. It is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Mark Haddon.
Celebrate your freedom to fly! Philadelphia School of Circus Arts announces the grand opening of Philadelphia Flying Trapeze. Philadelphia's only permanent outdoor flying trapeze school will offer two-hour outdoor flying trapeze lessons at Circus Campus, 6452 Greene Street in West Mt. Airy - conveniently directly next to the Upsal SEPTA Station. The first lessons take flight this weekend as a preview, with the official grand opening set for Today, August 16, 2018 at 10:30am. Lessons will run Wednesdays through Sundays, through October 28, 2018, with weekday lessons running 11:00am to 1:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00am to 12:00pm, 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 4:00pm to 6:00pm. I had the pleasure of seeing The Little Mermaid in the MTW 2011 Season, so I was really looking forward to seeing it again this season. I must say, it did not disappoint. With all the brilliant singing, colorful costumes and sets, and spritely choreography, The Little Mermaid is a perfect season finale!
