What happens when the repertoire of George Gershwin goes country? We're about to find out, thanks to Michael Feinstein. According to Forbes, the music man has already recorded an album in Nashville, titled Gershwin Country, which will be released soon by Concord. Artists featured on the album, which was executive produced by Liza Minnelli, include Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Amy Grant, Lyle Lovett, Ronnie Milsap, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Rosanne Cash.

1957 was a momentous year in country music. The radio was filled with huge hits by the stars of the day: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Ferlin Husky and Jim Reeves. Future stars like Patty Loveless, Vince Gill and Pam Tillis were all born in 1957. Meanwhile, in a Kalamazoo, Michigan factory, one of the first Gibson guitars featuring a cutaway and built-in pickup was being manufactured. That guitar would become a prized possession of Woody Lynch, who would eventually pass it along to his son, a 19-year-old burgeoning country artist, Richard Lynch.

On Friday, December 13th Milk & Honey Management curated a sold-out show at Bluebird Cafe to benefit Musicians On Call, who are celebrating their 20th Anniversary.  The show featured performances by David Hodges, Emerson Hart and Lee Thomas Miller and concluded with Hodges being presented with a platinum RIAA certification plaque to mark sales for Kelsea Ballerini's a?oeMiss Me More,a?? the  #1 song that he co-wrote with Ballerini.

THE DAILEY & VINCENT SHOW Announces New Network Home With Circle

Three-time GRAMMY® nominated country, bluegrass and gospel music group Dailey & Vincent have formally announced their partnership with Circle, a new COUNTRY MUSIC and lifestyle television network which will play home to their television series, The Dailey & Vincent Show. In addition to bringing existing episodes to the network which feature guest artists such as Vince Gill, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers, Emily West, John Carter and Ana Cash, and Henry Cho, among others, The Dailey & Vincent Show will begin taping 22 brand new episodes on January 14 and 15 at the Franklin Theater. All tapings are open to fans and free, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. New episodes will begin airing mid-2020.
