The Mercury Theatre in Colchester has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere of award-winning writer Emma-Louise Howell’s debut play I Really Do Think This Will Change Your Life, which will run in the Mercury Studio from 27 October – 4 November. On Friday, March 24th, Mayor Eric Adams gave a Mayoral Proclamation to 96-year-old John Kander in celebration of the first Broadway performance of his new musical New York, New York. Following the proclamation, Lin-Manuel Miranda unveiled the sign renaming 44th Steet 'Kander & Ebb Way' and the Manhattan School of Music performed the iconic Kander & Ebb song 'New York, New York.' ETT (English Touring Theatre) has announced their new production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, and further programming for 2023.

There is less than a week to go before the three-part concert series presented at Theatre Royal Drury Lane kicks off, starting with Chess the Musical in Concert on Monday 1 August.

Full casting has now been revealed for Chess in concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, with an additional date now also revealed.

Performing these Lerner and Loewe classics are Tony Award nominee Jenn Colella (Come From Away); Aaron Lazar; Jose Llana (The King and I); Michael Maliakel (Aladdin); Aisha Jackson (Frozen); Sean Thompson (Sunset Boulevard); and Bayla Whitten (West End’s Les Misérables). The first episode, An Evening With Lerner and Loewe, will feature the music of Gigi, My Fair Lady, Camelot, The Day Before Spring, Brigadoon and Paint Your Wagon, sung by Jenn Colella, Aaron Lazar, Jose Llana, Michael Maliakel, Aisha Jackson, Sean Thompson, and Bayla Whitten.

The American Pops Orchestra will present the semi-final round of its 5th Annual NextGen National Competition: Finding the Voices of Tomorrow. The event is being shared with the public through a private broadcast on Saturday, January 29 from 8-9 p.m. ET.
