The Dramatists Guild of America has announced Michael R. Jackson as the recipient of the Frederick Loewe Award for Dramatic Composition for his score to the musical A Strange Loop.

According to Variety, developmental lab series New Works Provincetown, which celebrated it's first season in 2019, has commissioned a new musical from Jonathan Tolins (Buyer & Cellar) and Scott Frankel and Michael Korie (War Paint, Grey Gardens).
