Following a hugely successful Autumn season where Richmond Theatre celebrated 120 years of inspiring theatre, Richmond Theatre announces its' Winter season, jam-packed with beloved classics, gripping adaptions and toe-tapping music nights.

Nearly 500 arts organisations, human rights charities, schools, colleges and universities came together in June to present events and activities across the UK; whilst international partners and individuals also flew Ai Weiwei's flag to mark the 70th anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) are pleased to announce the full company for the world premiere of The Perplexed, written by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, The Assembled Parties) and directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow (The Cake, The Assembled Parties, The Tale of the Allergist's Wife).

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Bella Bella, written and performed by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (Casa Valentina, Torch Song, Hairspray) and directed by Kimberly Senior (Disgraced, The Niceties), is beginning its final two weeks of performances. Mary Poppins has descended once again into our midst, and she is as amiably mischievous as ever. Based on the stories of P. L. Travers and the iconic 1964 Disney film, the Sherman Brothers' 2004 musical (with a book by Julian Fellowes) is back in the West End with several new songs, a buzzing cast, and pitch-perfect choreography.

Cameron Mackintosh and Disney Theatrical Productions' production of Mary Poppins has now returned to its original West End home at the Prince Edward Theatre, marking the first time this new production has been seen in London.

Manhattan Theatre Club's American premiere of The Height of the Storm, written by Tony Award® nominee Florian Zeller (The Father), translated by two-time Tony Award Winner Christopher Hampton (Les Liaisons Dangereuses) and directed by Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee Jonathan Kent (Long Day's Journey into Night) is beginning its final two weeks of performances. After being extended, the play must close on Sunday, November 24 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Jodie Prenger will host this year's UK Theatre Awards, which take place on Sunday 27 October at London's Guildhall. The Blackpool-born actor has spent 2019 touring the UK in a succession of hit productions including Abigail's Party and Annie, and is currently starring in the tour of the National Theatre's production of A Taste Of Honey, which transfers to the West End in December.

Award-winning theatre director and producer Jonathan Church CBE, has announced the launch of a new production company Jonathan Church Theatre Productions supported by Trafalgar Entertainment's Joint CEOs Sir Howard Panter and Dame Rosemary Squire.

Following its acclaimed national tour, the acclaimed Truth To Power Café comes to London this autumn as part of The Bloomsbury Festival. With more dates added the new leg of the tour will play at Conway Hall on October 20th as well as hitting more cities across the country.

The New York production is produced in association with Penguin Random House Audio.

Noël Coward's classic comedy Blithe Spirit, directed by Sir Richard Eyre and starring Jennifer Saunders, will return next year for a UK tour followed by a strictly limited 6-week engagement at the West End's Duke of York's Theatre following a celebrated reception in Bath earlier this summer.
