La presentación de la primera edición en dos versiones: la primera Crítica y la segunda Práctica, de la Sinfonía núm. 1 en Do menor, de Ricardo Castro, que estará a cargo de la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional el 7 y 9 de junio en la Sala Principal del Palacio de Bellas Artes, es resultado de un arduo trabajo realizado por un grupo de investigadores, coordinado por Elena Kopylova, pertenecientes al Centro Nacional de Investigación, Documentación e Información de la Música (Cenidim) Carlos Chávez, la cual se realiza en el marco del 160 aniversario del compositor.

La Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de México y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal), a través de la Coordinación Nacional de Música y Ópera (CNMO), presentarán la reedición de la Obra completa para piano de Manuel M. Ponce, por el sello discográfico Tempus Clásico, en una colección de siete CDs del pianista Héctor Rojas, concertista de Bellas Artes., el domingo 9 de junio a las 18:00 h en la Sala Manuel M. Ponce.
