Andrew Bales, President and General Director of Symphony San Jose has announced changes to the March 26 and 27 performances (previously announced to include Carmina Burana.) That program has been postponed until next season and a new program will be presented in its place.

Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra Announces Two Concerts in its New Home

The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra has announced two upcoming performances in its new home in the Immersive Media Performing Arts Center. The first concert will take place in April, and will introduce patrons to the symphony with a wide variety of music. The second concert takes place in June, and features violin performances of Beethoven.

The record features 2020 Grammy-nominated composer Christopher Cerrone's High Windows featuring the SOB and the Argus Quartet; Jacob Cooper's Stabat Mater Dolorosa featuring soprano Mellissa Hughes, mezzo-soprano Kate Maroney, and the SOB; Niccolò Paganini's Caprice No. 6 in G minor 'The Trill / Tremolo' (Lento) featuring violinist Rachel Lee Priday; and the first movement of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa.'
