THE LION KING Tour Begins Performances Tomorrow in Atlanta

The Atlanta return of Disney's THE LION KING opens tomorrow, Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. at the Fox Theatre for a limited three-week engagement through Sunday, April 27. In Atlanta, THE LION KING plays Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday evenings at 6:30 p.m. as well as matinees on Saturdays at 2:00 p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. A special weekday matinee will take place on Thursday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. "While sales have exceeded our expectations, tickets can still be purchased and patrons are encouraged to contact the Fox Theatre Box Office to inquire about the best availability," said Russ Belin, Vice President of Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta. Breaking News: LION KING Casting Announced!

Casting has been announced for the Toronto engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Toronto's most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the Princess of Wales Theatre stage from Wednesday April 30 to Sunday June 15. The award-winning musical premiered in Toronto in April 2000 at the Princess of Wales Theatre where it played 1,560 performances through January 2004 and returned in 2011 for an eight-week sold-out engagement.
