On Friday, November 8th White Horse Theater Company opened the World Premiere of Broken Story written and directed by Cyndy A. Marion at The Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012).

Due to popular demand Normal Ave and Leigh Honigman will extend performances for their World Premiere of Of the Woman Came the Beginning of Sin and Through Her We All Die, written by Lily Houghton and directed by Kylie M. Brown at Normal Ave's Medicine Show Theatre (549 W 52nd St, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10019). Additional performances will be on Thursday, October 24 at 8pm, Friday, October 25 at 8pm, and Saturday, October 26 at 8pm. Previously announced performances will be on Thursday, October 17 at 8pm, Friday, October 18 at 8pm, Saturday, October 19 at 8pm, and Sunday, October 20 at 3pm. Tickets ($20-$30) are available for advance purchase at www.normalave.org/ofthewoman. The performance runs approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.

Greenville favorite Edwin McCain and accomplished songwriter Maia Sharp return for the Peace Center's Songwriters Concert Series and Workshop Series. This timeless drama features the music and lyrics of Joe Izen with Henry Aronson as Musical Director. Cailin Heffernan will direct. Production Stage Management is by Byron C. Saunders.

 Virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Chance McCoy announced today his solo debut album Wander Wide will release on September 20th. Best known as a member of the Grammy-winning Americana powerhouse Old Crow Medicine Show, McCoy reveals a remarkable depth and versatility far beyond anything we've heard from him yet. This morning he released his newest songtitle track 'Wander Wide,' a hushed, pedal-steel and piano laden account of a life spent perpetually in transit.

The season will kick off October 3, 2019 with the world premiere of Of the woman came the beginning of sin and through her we all die by Lily Houghton, directed by Kylie M. Brown. Following will be another world premiere: Indoor Person by Kayla Martine, directed by Andrew Garrett, which begins performances February 19, 2020. The season will finish with The Book of Grace by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Shariffa Ali, which returns to New York for the first time since the 2010 run at The Public. The Parks revival begins performances April 23, 2020. Casts and creative teams will be announced at a later date.

Cosmic Orchid announces this season's cycle of their signature production: The Voire Dire Project 4.0: The Photography Cycle. Four plays created with inspiration from 4 photographic images is running at the Medicine Show Theatre, 549 W. 52nd Street, Floor 3rd, with a full curation of the photographers' art work.
