    The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce the second production of its 2014-2015 season, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Dale Wasserman and based on the book by Ken Kesey . It will be performed on October 31 and November 1, 6, 7, 8, 14 & 15 at 8:00p.m. at HITW, located on 116 Main Street, New Britain, CT. Tickets are $20.00 (general admission) and $15.00 (students and seniors). They can be purchased at the door and online at www.hitw.org. The November 6th show will be our Pay What You Can performance.     CHICAGO, Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ Grainger (NYSE: GWW) today reported results for the 2014 third quarter ended September 30, 2014. Sales of $2.6billion increased 7 percent versus $2.4billion in the 2013 third quarter. There were 64 selling days in the quarter, the same as in 2013. Net earnings for the third quarter increased 9 percent to $230 million versus $211 million in 2013. Earnings per share of $3.30 increased 12 percent versus $2.95 in 2013. (more...)

    ITASCA, IL - A new US Government Accountability Office (GAO) report has found waste in software spending widespread across the federal government due to lack of coherent and proactive software license management policies. According to Flexera Software, the global expert on Software License Optimization, the US government wastes approximately $2 billion per year, or 25 percent of its annual $8 billion software budget, on shelfware (unused software), under-utilized software, and non-compliant overuse, which subjects it to software vendor 'true-up' penalties.     New British musical BEST OF FRIENDS, with book, music and lyrics by Nick Fogarty, will finally get its London premiere at the Landor Theatre, directed by the venue's artistic director, Robert McWhir, from Wednesday 23 April. Best of Friends was due in London last summer as The Golden Voice, starring Darren Day. Scheduled to open at the Arts Theatre, it was delayed multiple times before it was eventually cancelled. Actors' union Equity then launched legal action in an attempt to claim back unpaid cast wages. (more...)

    ITASCA, IL - CFO's are now on notice most enterprises are 'accidental software pirates' and face frequent, unbudgeted software license true-up bills from their vendors often to the tune of millions of dollars annually. This is the conclusion of a new Flexera Software 2013-14 Key Trends in Software Pricing & Licensing Report, prepared jointly with IDC, the ninth annual assessment of key issues and trends on the minds of software vendors, intelligent device manufacturers, and enterprise IT executives and managers. The report reveals among other things that 85% of organizations are out of compliance with their software license agreements, 63% were audited by their software vendors in the last 18-24 months (58% by Microsoft, the most aggressive auditor), and 56% were handed true-up bills (21% for a million dollars or more).
