Planned Leicester Statue of Joe Orton Axed

A statue to commemorate murdered playwright Joe Orton has been scrapped. The Joe Orton Statue Appeal reached its target in 2019, having raised over £115,000 for the project.

Bailey previously collaborated with Elliott for the award-winning Company, alongside Patti Lupone, for which he won an Olivier Award. He also starred alongside Ian Mckellen in King Lear in 2017.

The hit production TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL today announces new casting for the critically acclaimed production which continues at the Aldwych Theatre as rehearsals begin for the new Company. From 29 June 2022 Aisha Jawando and new cast member Elesha Paul Moses will share the role of Tina, with Caleb Roberts joining to play Ike.
