Internationally renowned pianist Lang Lang draws on iconic movie melodies from the magical world of Walt Disney in newly reimagined versions written especially for him to bring his new program to the Hollywood Bowl on Thursday, September 15.

Recipients include actor and filmmaker George Clooney; contemporary Christian and pop singer-songwriter Amy Grant; the legendary singer of soul, Gospel, R&B, and pop Gladys Knight; Cuban-born American composer, conductor, and educator Tania León; and iconic Irish rock band U2, comprised of members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr.

Since being introduced in the 1936 musical 'Swing Time,' the song has been recorded over the years by greats including Ella Fitzgerald, Anita O’Day, Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, and Gregory Porter. Nat King Cole first popularized the song and Welsman targeted Cole’s 1962 recording of “Pick Yourself Up” with George Shearing as her definitive template.

The six song EP is his first collection of solo material since his 2017 album Re-Covered. The new collection will feature four new recordings along with the previously released “Under The Circumstances” and “Red Light,” which was co-written with Jenny Owen Youngs and Ethan Gruska.
