City of Angels, the Olivier Award winning production directed by Josie Rourke, is pleased to announce that award winning Hollywood actor, Theo James, best known for playing Four in Divergent, Insurgent and Allegiant, will be joining the cast as Stone and stage actor Jonathan Slinger (various roles at the RSC and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Buddy / Irwin.

Josie Rourke's critically acclaimed and Olivier Award winning production of City of Angels makes its West End transfer five years since opening at the Donmar Warehouse in 2014. The musical will play at the Garrick Theatre for a limited season, with previews from Thursday 5 March 2020, reuniting the production's entire creative team.

The second production housed at the Minerva Theatre in Chichester's 2019 line-up is Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea. Written after the writer lost his lover Kenny Morgan to suicide, the play details the day that follows Hester Collyer's attempted one. When her nosy neighbours find her unconscious body, they contact her husband Bill - a judge and established member of London's high society - whom she left ten months prior to jump head-first in a passionate affair with Freddie Page, an ex-RAF pilot who's now unemployed and struggling.
