FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Cast to Make Appearance on 'Good Day NY' Tomorrow

The cast of Gerard Alessandrini's FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING! will be performing parodies of Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe in the film Les Miserables on Good Day New York on Wednesday, February 27,2013 in the 9'oclock hour. The hit musical at the 47th Street Theatre (304 West 47th Street - just west of Eighth Avenue) continues through April 28th and is co-directed by Phillip George. Time Magazine and the Associated Press recently awarded FORBIDDEN BROADWAY: ALIVE AND KICKING! spots on their Top Ten Lists, with Time Magazine making it their Top Musical pick for 2012. The show is also a Critic's Pick for The New York Times, The Daily News and New York Magazine. DRG Record's cast recording FORBIDDEN BROADWAY; ALIVE AND KICKING! After a three-year absence, Gerard Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway returns to the 47th Street Theatre with a brand new edition, Forbidden Broadway: ALIVE AND KICKING. The show, which opens Thursday, September 6, will run for a limited engagement through January 6, 2013. Previews begin tomorrow, July 24th. From Gerard Alessandrini, the creator of the Tony-Award-Winning Forbidden Broadway, and Robert Hetzel, comes an over-the-top new musical: Madame X, a melodramatic yet comic take on the Douglas Sirk films of the 1950s, and the ever-durable genre of the altruistic, self-sacrificing mother. The show, which will be presented concert-style, stars Forbidden Broadway veterans Donna English as Madame X (Ruthless!, Lend Me a Tenor) Janet Dickenson (The Grinch, Nine to Five) Edward Staudenmayer (Frank Wildhorn's Alice in Wonderland, Spamalot), Michael West (Newsical), plus Bill Coyne, Sean Bell, and Mike Longo with Musical Direction by David Caldwell and Richard Danley.
