Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Matthew Lombardo present the Barrington Stage production of Becoming Dr. Ruth with Debra Jo Rupp as Dr. Ruth Westheimer at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale from tonight, April 16 through Sunday, April 20. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 31for the acclaimed Mark St. Germain play, which is directed by Julianne Boyd and is part of the WinterStage Series at the Parker Playhouse. The production comes direct from New York and will be produced by Michael Alden, Stefany Bergson and Rodger Hess. (more...)

Each year, the New Jersey based Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation has been instrumental in the movement to promote an appreciation for contemporary dance and supporting local dance companies. Through their support, the Centenary Stage Company (CSC) will be hosting the annual Dance Fest running March 29th through April 11th. This year's Dance Fest will feature the talents of Lustig Dance Theatre, The Art of Motion Dance Theatre and moe-tion dance theater all on the Sitnik Stage in the Lackland Center and will include two free workshops open to the public. The announcement marks Bruce Miller and Phil Whiteway's 40th season as Artistic Director and Managing Director.
