Legendary lyricist Sammy Cahn, singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester and composer-arranger Billy Strayhorn will be honored in an upcoming online event as the 2021 inductees to the Great American Songbook Hall of Fame.

The beautiful music of the legendary Brazilian composer Antonio Carols Jobim (famous for his worldwide hit The Girl From Ipanema), was recorded in the 1960's by Old Blue Eyes himself Frank Sinatra as well as Hollywood royalty Doris Day and sax maestro Stan Getz and in this concert a spectacular array of the UK's leading musicians will transport those sensuous sounds of Rio De Janeiro to Chelsea's Cadogan Hall.

Emerging Artists Theatre presents a workshop production of the new full length play Doris Day: My Secret Love by Paul Adams.

BIRDLAND THEATER will present Christina Bianco in her new show “A Lot to Unpack” on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 at 8:30 PM. Her bags are packed for London but before she leaves her hometown this globetrotting, genre-crossing, multi-voiced, multi-wig-wearing funny girl has some serious unpacking to do.

LOVE, LINDA: THE LIFE OF MRS. COLE PORTER had its Off-Broadway premiere in 2013 featuring music and lyrics by Cole Porter, with Book by Stevie Holland and Gary Wiliam Friedman. The show will have its Southwestern Regional Premiere October 16-24 at the 2nd Story Theatre in Hermosa Beach before moving October 30-31 to the Renaissance Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. Through song and story, Deborah Robin promises a tour-de-force performance as Mrs. Cole Porter. And as a fan of Cole Porter’s music but not knowing anything about his wife or their life together, I wanted to find out a bit more about the production, especially what led Deborah Robin to take on the role.

Birdland Jazz Club will present powerhouse cabaret veteran, award-winning singer, and theatre favorite Ann Kittredge for one night only in Movie Nite, supported by her musical director Alex Rybeck on piano and Sean Harkness on guitar, at The Birdland Theater (315 West 44th Street) on Sunday, October 10, 2021 @ 8:30 pm.

BIRDLAND will present Amanda Green & Friends “Vaxxed AF!” on Monday, October 4 at 7:00 PM. Tony Award-nominated lyricist/composer and award-winning performer Amanda Green will be joined by some amazing Broadway friends, including Darius de Haas, Ann Harada, Lesli Margherita, Curtis Moore, Natalie Douglas, and Dan Finnerty of The Dan Band.

St Helens Theatre Royal has unveiled its full Autumn season of shows, revealing a packed programme of great events running between now until Christmas.

Tonight at Feinstein’s 54 Below, she made up for lost time, delivering a stellar, and surprisingly vulnerable self-titled show.

The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is preparing for a heartwarming romantic comedy this fall when its production of the Broadway classic The Pajama Game takes to the stage.  Opening Friday, September 10th, the production was rescheduled from earlier this season. 

Billy Stritch has always embodied a suave elegance that evokes another era before tuxedos were replaced by ripped jeans and before cocktail hour was replaced by Netflix binges. His encyclopedic knowledge of The Great American Songbook is prodigious. He not only knows all the songs, he knows the history of them all. He is as stylish as the great pianists of that era: Oscar Peterson, Marion McPartland, Teddy Wilson, Art Tatum, and Dave Grusin. He is the upholder of a tradition that includes Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Doris Day, and Mel Tormé.
