When it opened on Broadway in 2006, The Drowsy Chaperone boasted an all-star cast and garnered five Tony Awards, including Best Book of a Musical and Best Original Score. You can expect that same quality in Broadway at Music Circus' third production of the summer, with Lynne Wintersteller returning to Sacramento in the title role. Lynne was last seen here in 2017 as Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly! and as Mother Superior in Sister Act, where she solidified her place as Music Circus royalty and left audiences anticipating her return. In a special episode of OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT titled “Save the Right,” airing this Sunday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME, cartoon Donald Trump and Ben Shapiro lead a movement to establish equal rights for Conservative Americans. The 28-minute episode stands out from the series with a more cinematic feel and includes a satirical song with Tony Award-winner James Monroe Iglehart (Broadway's Hamilton and Aladdin). Additional vocals were provided by Kathryn Allison (Aladdin) and Gabriel Gundacker, who composed the song.

The British Theatre Academy gives aspiring young performers the chance to perform for free in top venues. The creators of OUR CARTOON PRESIDENT released a new cold open today inspired by this week's first 2020 Democratic debates for the upcoming episode on Sunday, June 30 at 8PM ETPT on SHOWTIME, including cartoon versions of Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Beto O'Rourke, Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar. In less than 12 following the debates, the episode intro was written, recorded, and animated.

Following the second night of Democratic Presidential debates, Jimmy Fallon opened the live episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon by parodying Taylor Swift's 'You Need to Calm Down' as Beto O'Rourke, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

Two venerable Los Angeles intimate theaters will each host a Mueller Report Read-A-Thon, offering Angelenos the opportunity to hear the Mueller Report read aloud, in its entirety, on either side of the City. The Fountain Theatre in East Hollywood will host a single, 15-hour event on Thursday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to midnight. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West L.A. will hold a separate marathon reading, breaking it up into two 8-hour sessions on Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23, each from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission to both Read-A-thons is free and open to the public.

Quickie Fest 7, the one-minute movie festival, has announced its roster of Special Jury members and short film slate for its seventh incarnation, which will take place this Saturday, June 29th at 7:00PM at NYC's SVA Theatre. The event will kick off with beer from Brooklyn's Six Point Brewing (included with every ticket) followed by back-to-back short films, all under a minute long. The evening will conclude with the jury awards.

Collaboraction Theatre Company announces its 2019-20 season, themed We Are Each Other's Business, which will be staged at Kennedy-King College in Englewood at 63rd and Halsted in the college's state-of-the-art, 292-seat mainstage and black box theaters.

ABC Sunday Prime Time (7:00–11:00 p.m. – 3.6 million and 0.6/3 in AD18-49): Opposite Fox's coverage of the U.S. Open, ABC earned 2nd place on Sunday and ranked as the night's No. 1 entertainment network for the 2nd week in a row among Adults 18-49 (0.6/3).

There are laugh-out-loud moments but the comedy comes mostly from the social commentary and sharp, British gallows humour that touches a chord with anyone who has ever felt overlooked, dismissed, humiliated or rejected.  These are the men that Donald Trump appealed to with the promise of bringing back the industrial boom.  They measure their masculinity by what they can provide and their lack of prospects (especially in the face of the capable working women in their lives) only exacerbate their feelings of failure.

Comedy Central is rolling out the red carpet for the illustrious and multitalented film, television and stage star Alec Baldwin. The #1 brand in comedy announced today that Baldwin will be this year's Roastee. The Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin (#BaldwinRoast) will take place in New York with the tape and airdate to be announced at a later date.

The Capitol Steps, the political musical satire group that has been putting the "mock" in democracy since 1981, returns to the Cranwell Resort in Lenox, MA for the 12th summer with a new show based on their upcoming album, "The Lyin' Kings." Performances run nightly at 8pm (except Tuesdays) at Cranwell's Harvest Barn.

RAMY YOUSSEF: FEELINGS, the comedian and actor's first HBO stand-up comedy special, debuts SATURDAY, JUNE 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO. The exclusive presentation was taped in front of a live audience at the landmark Chicago Cultural Center.

In his latest musical parody, Randy Rainbow channels Ariana Grande in his parody of her song 'breathin.' This parody, of course, takes on Trump, and is titled 'Just Impeach Him.' Check out the video below!
