Drama Desk Award-winning actress and singer Rachel York (Disaster!, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Victor/Victoria) embarks on a 10-city concert tour from December, 2016 through April, 2017 beginning with Michael Feinstein's American Songbook at NJPAC! December 1. York joins Feinstein, Andrea McArdle, Jared Grimes, and Youth Songbook Ambassador Julia Goodwin at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark for a cabaret and Q&A featuring favorite American standards. The program will be filmed before a live audience for future broadcast on NJTV, WNET, and WLIW21. (more...)

I like to write tunes. By tunes I mean real hummable melodies. Some people scoff at this as if 'that's easy' or 'not exactly art', but I thoroughly disagree. Lots of songwriters write both music and lyrics, and I've given lyrics a go, but I like to stick to the music. In my opinion, my job is to serve a lyric. A great melody can carry a poor lyric, but a good lyric sure as hell ain't gonna carry a bad tune. When you combine both a great lyric and a great melody then you've hit the jackpot. (more...)

Pittsburgh native and Law & Order: SVU star, Tamara Tunie returns to her roots, performing songs by hometown legends. Her band includes Roger Humphries on drums, Jeff Grubbs on bass, and Max Leake conducting and playing piano. Ms. Tunie, a Tony and Drama Desk Award winner has performed Legends from the 'Burgh on tour and in New York City to packed houses and critical acclaim.
