One of fastest-growing theater companies in the Valley is kicking off a new Cabaret Series featuring multi-award winning vocalist HECTOR CORIS's new solo show Our Own Kind of Universe. The show will be musical directed by Curtis Moeller with a special appearance by Marina Blue Jarrette. The one-night-only performance will take place on Monday, April 6th at 7:30PM at Tempe Center for the Arts (Studio Theatre), 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281. Tickets are $20. Producer Eva Price has announced that Benjamin Scheuer, writer and performer of the gripping, highly acclaimed autobiographical solo show The Lion, has been awarded the 2015 ASCAP Foundation Jamie deRoy & friends Songwriting Award. He will receive a grant of $1,250, which will be presented on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center. (more...)
