Leading BBC conductors and artists have signed an open letter to the BBC's Director General, protesting against the recent proposals to cut BBC Singers and funding to BBC orchestras, calling the decision 'calamitous'.

The BBC has announced it is to close the BBC Singers in order to invest more widely in the future of choral singing across the UK, working with a wide range of choral groups alongside launching a major choral development programme for new talent.

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciarán O'Reilly, Producing Director) and Fishamble: The New Play Company (Jim Culleton, Artistic Director) has announced the inaugural readings for their first collaboration, the 2022-23 Transatlantic Commissions Program, an endeavor that aims to address head-on the historical inequalities in representation that have existed in the theatrical canon.

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced two productions to begin its 2023 season. Irish Rep will present Endgame by Samuel Beckett January 25-March 12, 2023, on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage, with an opening night set for February 2, 2023.

Gabriel Byrne officially opened in his acclaimed solo show, Walking with Ghosts, on Broadway. This adaptation from his best-selling memoir of the same name is directed by Lonny Price and is currently playing at the Music Box Theatre for 75 performances only.
