(A Comedic Trans Journey through (T)estosterone and Masculinity) beginning previews June 25, 2022 at the Kirk Douglas Theatre. D’Lo hilariously takes us on his journey transitioning while bridging his traditional Tamil Sri Lankan family with his Queer/Trans chosen family. Starring Billy Eichner, the first openly gay man to co-write and star in his own major studio film, Bros is directed by Nicholas Stoller from his screenplay with Eichner. The film is produced by Judd Apatow, Stoller and Joshua Church (co-producer Trainwreck, Step Brothers). The film is executive produced by Eichner.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the legendary and acclaimed comedian Julia Scotti will perform live on the Bay Street stage as part of the return of Comedy Club, Bay Street's showcase of talented comedians and storytellers.

The Playthings Theatre, an LGBTQ+ Theatre Company in New York City, will be performing its gala concert PlayFresh on Tuesday, May 31st at 7:00pm at The Irish Repertory Theatre. PlayFresh is an evening of new LGBTQ+ music performed by the community's finest performers. Playthings will be honoring Paul Rudnick with The P.R.I.D.E. Performing Arts Award for his contribution to theatre and the LGBTQ+ community.

The classic comedy Some Like It Hot will begin performances on Broadway this fall! It was announced today that the new musical will begin performances on Tuesday, November 1 and officially open Sunday, December 11 at  the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street).  Find out who's in the cast and on the creative team!

With less than four weeks until the festival begins, Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival has added new shows to its lineup, including top stand-up performances, Netflix series cast events as well as a free outdoor fan experience. After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Story Pirates will perform live and in-person for a full-cast comedy-improv show based on kids' ideas on Sunday, March 13 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. All proceeds will benefit their non-profit Story Pirates Changemakers.

 In honor of Women’s History Month, BroadwayHD is celebrating some of Broadway’s iconic female characters with new titles coming to the platform including Yentl from Yentl, Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Tracy from Hairspray Live!.

A24 has greenlit a new movie musical, F*cking Identical Twins, set to star Nathan Lane, Megan Mullally, Megan Thee Stallion, and Bowen Yang. Comedians Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp will adapt the new film, based on The Parent Trap, from their two-man stage show. The two will also star in the film as the eponymous twins.

Kids will direct the action at a full cast Story Pirates show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 13. The highly engaging comedy-improv musical performance benefits the nonprofit Story Pirates Changemakers, which brings literacy programs to schools and under-served communities.

Groundlings alum/Oscar winner Jim Rash will be guesting in The Groundlings’ January 6th edition of COOKIN’ WITH GAS. The actor/comedian/filmmaker took a moment from the set of Bros to answer a few of my Groundlings and Oscar queries.

Hairspray Tony-winner Marc Shaiman will score Billy Eichner's new gay rom-com. Shaiman has also written the score for films like South Park, The First Wives Club, The American President, Sleepless in Seattle, Broadcast News, When Harry Met Sally, Beaches, City Slickers, The Addams Family, A Few Good Men, Sister Act, and George of the Jungle.

Harvey Fierstein has joined the cast of Bros, co-written and starring Billy Eichner. Featuring an all LGBTQIA+ cast, Bros has also added SNL star Bowen Yang. Previously announced for the film are Jim Rash, Eve Lindley, D’Lo Srijaerajah, Peter Kim, Justin Covington, Dot-Marie Jones and Becca Blackwell.
