Written by Mark Ravenhill and directed by Erica Whyman, Ben & Imo tells the story of the composition of Benjamin Britten’s (Samuel Barnett) Gloriana with musical assistant Imogen Holst (Victoria Yeates) over a period of nine months in the coast town of Aldeburgh. The play is based on Ravenhill’s BBC Radio 3 presentation, Imo and Ben.

Samuel Barnett and Victoria Yeates will make their Royal Shakespeare Company debuts to play, respectively, Benjamin Britten and Imogen Holst in the Company’s forthcoming production of Ben and Imo, written by Mark Ravenhill and directed by Erica Whyman.

All new photos have been released from Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen to mark the opening week at the Bush Theatre.  The Edinburgh Festival Fringe sensation runs at the Bush until 23 December 2023.

The world première of Marcelo Dos Santos' new play Backstairs Billy looks at a pivotal moment in the 50 year relationship between the Queen Mother and her loyal servant William “Billy” Tallon.

The Fringe First winning hit show Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going To Happen will transfer to the Bush Theatre from 10 November to 23 December 2023.

National Theatre Live broadcasts Ralph Fiennes in David Hare's new play Straight Line Crazy from the Bridge Theatre to cinemas worldwide, 26 May in the UK / Ireland, and 8 September internationally.

In 2020, Samuel made the surprising discovery that he descends from a long line of mentalists, conjurers, illusionists and magicians.  This revelation led him to spend lockdown studying some of his family's most famous and celebrated routines and investigating his show-business DNA – learning the trade of his forefathers and researching the family genes that led him to a career on the stage.
