Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced that Margaret Gould Stewart will succeed Jeff Johnson as the Chair of the Board of Trustees. Johnson has led the board for the last five years and will remain a member of the Board of Trustees.

The theater community rallied together once again with spirited skits, dynamic dance and brilliant bonnets as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ Easter Bonnet Competition returned April 24 and 25, 2023. The performances celebrated in-theater Red Bucket appeals that raised $3,601,355 for meals and medication, health care and hope for those who need them most.

The world premiere of the five-part series FOUL PLAY – a digital, immersive, improvised comedy, murder mystery party game - will premiere on Friday, April 21, 2023.

The Broadway and LGBTQ communities are coming together to celebrate bringing open relationships out of the closet with a dance film short!  In the film you will see a gay couple sharing their lives with multiple partners in a joyful and harmonious way. The approach to the film is light, playful and even humorous at times while still honoring the depth and heart of the content. 

More than a dozen of Broadway’s best have been added to the lineup performing songs from the musical theater canon through the lens of the LGBTQ+ experience at the in-person homecoming of Broadway Backwards, which is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits Broadway Cares and New York City’s LGBT Community Center.

Written by Chris with Cary Barlowe and Corey Crowder from a headline tour stop in Tampa in 2018, the autobiographical song mentions Rutherford County, where Chris grew up in Tennessee, and Kane’s hometown of Hamilton County along with Nashville’s Davidson County – a.k.a. Music City.

Tony Award winner Fierstein makes a special appearance as the show begins, with Ghee, Hurder and Remy each sharing the impact of donations made throughout the stream.

The sweetest villain in the world, Jonathan Freeman, gets to sit down with Murphy Davis, director and founder of Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theater on 'Between Two Palms' the weekly livestream series at The Studios of Key West, one of South Florida's leading multidisciplinary arts organizations. Freeman, who is adored by Disney fans worldwide, is chomping at the bit to get back to his role as the evil Jafar in Disney's 'Aladdin on Broadway' but he hasn't been sitting around as he will be happy to tell all who click in.

The Studios of Key West continues its innovative online conversation series, 'Between Two Palms,' streaming live each Wednesday from 6-7PM in March.
