Leading youth arts organisation The National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT) has announced three of its alumni – the critically acclaimed Matt Lucas, the award-winning Amara Okereke (My Fair Lady, West End; Spring Awakening, Almeida Theatre), and Callum Scott Howells (It’s a Sin, Channel 4; The Way, BBC; Cabaret, West End) – are newly appointed patrons.

The NYMT is under new management. After the successful 10-year tenure of Jeremy Walker the new team, CEO Adrian Packer, Artistic Director Chris Cuming, and I, as Associate Artistic Director (Courses) have huge plans for bringing Musical Theatre joy to the whole of the country and beyond.

Berkshire theatres The Watermill Theatre in Newbury and Reading Rep Theatre in Reading have announced that they have joined forces to host events at both their venues for the local deaf community.

Reading Rep Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team of the first UK revival of Joe Calarco's queer play Shakespeare's R&J, which will run from Wednesday 11th October – Saturday 4th November 2023 (Press Night: 16th October) at the Berkshire venue.
