Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that Brave New Workshop will return with It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Stupidity: 2 Hot, 2 Stupid running Friday, May 31 through Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 at the Dudley Riggs Theatr.

Al Franken kicks off his guest host week of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. The former politician and comedian’s debut tonight is a part of the roster of comedy greats and all-star correspondent and contributors guest hosting the next chapter of the award-winning late night franchise in the coming weeks. 

For a recent episode of his hit podcast Howie Mandel Does Stuff hosted with his daughter Jackie Schultz, America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel beamed live from his studio to Montreal, Canada to interview his guests in a Proto Epic hologram device. Howie and Jackie were able to see and hear and interact with the famous comedians.

Al Franken, Chelsea Handler, D. L. Hughley, Leslie Jones, John Leguizamo, Hasan Minhaj, Kal Penn, Sarah Silverman, Wanda Sykes and Marlon Wayans along with TDS correspondents and contributors are set to host with additional details to be announced.

With America's needle quivering near empty, the country is almost out of gas, literally and figuratively. If you feel your gas light is on, it's time to refuel with laughter Thursday, Aug. 11 through Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at 824 Hennepin Avenue., in downtown Minneapolis This is Brave New Workshop's 305th show with preview performances beginning Thursday, Aug. 11 and an opening night scheduled for Friday, Aug. 19, 2022.

Anthony Anderson, Nicole Byer, Al Franken, Jeff Goldblum, Chelsea Handler, Sean Hayes, Simu Liu, Rob McElhenney, Lamorne Morris, Desus Nice, Mark Rober, Kerry Washington and more are set to host throughout the summer. Dates for specific episodes and further guest hosts will be announced at a later time.
