Japan's WOWOW to Broadcast 2014 Tony Awards
WOWOW, Japan's leading premium pay TV broadcaster, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to broadcast the 2014 Tony Awards show live, exclusively on WOWOW.
The 2014 Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on Sunday, June 8th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. CBS is broadcasting the award show in the U.S.
Securing the rights to broadcast the Tony Awards continues WOWOW's dominance in carrying the most prestigious entertainment award shows. The company is already Japan's official broadcaster of the Oscar and Grammy award shows.
