In Episode 214, award-winning musical theatre writer Joel B. New sat down with David Hudson, an actor, writer, producer, and voice-over artist.

Mr. Hudson has worked extensively with the New Harmony Project, appeared on several web series of note, and perhaps most notably he makes up one third of the creators of Three Day Hangover, a New York City theater company that produces fresh, unexpected, immersive, joyful productions of classic plays in bars. On the verge of its second season, 3DH's raucous first season included R+J: STAR-CROSS'D DEATH MATCH and THE HAMLET PROJECT, in which David played the titular role to sold-out crowds and rave reviews in the New York Post, Broadway World, and the New York Times.

Song Presentation: "Annabel Lee", music by Joel B. New (www.joelbnew.com), poem by Edgar Allan Poe. Originally presented last year in Joel's concert IN OTHERS' WORDS at Ars Nova, "Annabel Lee" will be among the 30 songs included in New's first songbook, set to be digitally released in the fall. "Something New" is a popular musical theatre podcast that dissects what it means to be a working, multifaceted artist in America, always concluding with a song from one of Joel B. New's latest projects. "Something New" is available on iTunes and Stitcher.
