Sydney Weisman to Perform at Arthur Newman Theatre 9/11

Sydney Weisman makes her Palm Springs debut of her new show "I Am What I Am" on Sunday September 11, 2016 at the Arthur Newman Theater in Palm Desert. This show will be the 20th show of the 7th season of the Sundays In Summer Cabaret Series. Ms. Weisman's musical director, arranger, and pianist will by Palm Springs local, Barney McClure. Tickets are $11 cash only and doors open at 1 PM for open seating.

Sydney Weisman recently moved to Palm Springs after a long career in the Los Angeles area where she drew SRO crowds at local venues and developing a vast array of loyal fans and followers including Broadway star Karen Morrow who says, "What a joy to watch Sydney pull an audience right in with her charm, voice, and songs that go right to the heart and funny bone". And Broadway and TV star, fan and close friend, Nancy Dussault says, "I always look forward to watching Sydney perform, and her material is interesting, surprising and fun".

"I Am What I Am" will feature a blend of stories and songs that capture how music has influenced Sydney's life using Standards from the Great American Songbook and Broadway, each with a fresh, sometimes surprising perspective, as well as some lesser-known gems and more than a little humor.
