An all-new THEATER TALK features critic and author Richard Zoglin on his new bestseller, HOPE: Entertainer of the Century (Simon & Schuster), a comprehensive biography of the incomparable comedian, stage, film & TV star Bob Hope. Joining Zoglin is writer and iconic talk show host Dick Cavett, who shares his own memories and anecdotes about Hope with co-hosts Michael Riedel of the New York Post and Susan Haskins.

HOPE is hailed as the first definitive biography of Bob Hope. Born into poverty in England in 1903, he rose to stardom in vaudeville, on Broadway, in film, as a tireless wartime entertainer, and finally on television from the 1950s through the 70s. Zoglin and Cavett reflect on details of Hope's life and character with stories, jokes, and personal recollections.

This latest edition of THEATER TALK premieres in the New York metropolitan area on Friday, December 19 (2014) at 1 AM (early Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, with repeats on CUNY TV* on Saturday 12/20 at 8:30 PM, Sunday 12/21 at 12:30 PM, and Monday 12/22 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.
