Apparently, New Yorkers shouldn't be surprised if Republican presidential hopeful, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, makes Marie's Crisis one of his stops on the campaign trail.

The New York Times reports that Heidi Cruz, the GOP Iowa Caucus winner's wife, explains that her husband's way of relieving tension during anxious campaign moments is to sing showtunes.

"He'll call me and just sing me a Broadway tune," Mrs. Cruz told a Windham, New Hampshire crowd on Tuesday.

She says it can happen without warning, "right before one of these debates" or "in a stressful moment in a state."

A spokeswoman has yet to respond to inquiries as to Cruz's preference between Michael John LaChiusa's THE WILD PARTY and Andrew Lippa's, but anonymous sources do claim to have heard him, after a heated debate encounter with Donald Trump, hum a bit of "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist."
