Playwrights Horizons has announced additional casting for its current 2013/2014 Season. The announcement includes final casting for the New York premiere of STAGE KISS, a new play by two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl (Dead Man's Cell Phone at PH; The Clean House, In the Next Room...), directed by Rebecca Taichman (Milk Like Sugar at PH; Marie Antoinette, Orlando, The Scene, Luck of the Irish) and complete casting for the World Premiere of YOUR MOTHER'S COPY OF THE KAMA SUTRA, a new play by Kirk Lynn (Founder, Rude Mechanicals, Austin), directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman (Detroit, Maple and Vine at PH; Belleville, The Thugs).

Completing the cast of STAGE KISS will be Todd Almond (Public Works' The Tempest, People Are Wrong!, composer/lyricist of On the Levee) and Tony Award nominee Daniel Jenkins (Big River, Golden Boy, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Angels in America). They join the previously-announced Clea Alsip (L(y)RE), Michael Cyril Creighton (The Vietnamization of NJ, Blood Play, Writers Guild winner for "Jack in the Box"), SAG Award nominee Dominic Fumusa (Ms. Ruhl's Passion Play, Tape, Take Me Out, [sic], Kevin Peyton on "Nurse Jackie"), Emma Galvin (Lidless, Our Town, Blood Play), Tony Award nominee Jessica Hecht (Lobster Alice and Plunge at PH, The Assembled Parties, A View from the Bridge, Harvey, The Last Night of Ballyhoo) and Patrick Kerr (The Ritz, Endgame, The Warrior Ant, Jeffrey, The Devils).

The production will begin previews Friday evening, February 7 at 8PM with an Opening Night set for Sunday, March 2 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, March 23 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors (Ms. Hecht and Mr. Fumusa) with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the story onstage follows them offstage. Sarah Ruhl's singular voice returns to Playwrights Horizons with STAGE KISS, a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss - or when actors share a real one.

The cast of YOUR MOTHER'S COPY OF THE KAMA SUTRA will feature Maxx Brawer (Don't Go Gentle), Zoë Sophia Garcia (La Ruta), Rebecca Henderson (The Whale, The Retributionists at PH; Too Much, Too Much, Too Many), Will Pullen (Marie Antoinette), Chris Stack (Marie Antoinette, Killers & Other Family) and Sarah Sutherland (Beneath the Harvest Sky, Catherine Meyer on "Veep").

The production will begin previews Friday evening, March 28 at 7:30 PM with an Opening Night set for Monday, April 21 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, May 11 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

Carla (Ms. Garcia) agrees to marry Reggie (Mr. Stack) on one condition: to break down any walls between them, they'll reenact their individual sexual histories with one another, good and bad, for better or worse. Years later, these stories bring unexpected hope to their household, now forced to confront those barriers a second time. Kirk Lynn's tough-love comedy navigates the boundaries of intimacy, finding startling empathy in the story of a father hell-bent on saving his family.

The performance schedule for STAGE KISS will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7PM, Thursdays and Fridays at 8PM, Saturdaysat 2:30 PM & 8PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM & 7:30 PM.
