In an email to MoveOn.org members today, "Modern Family" star Jesse Tyler Ferguson announced that more than 60 Broadway actors and actresses from five different Broadway shows including Beautiful, Book of Mormon, Fiddler on the Roof, Paramour and Waitress, have joined MoveOn.org's #UnitedFor Campaign.

The #UnitedFor campaign is an effort to convince Americans to vote against Donald Trump, reject his dangerous campaign of hate and division, and elect Hillary Clinton as the next President of the United States this November.

MoveOn.org partnered with the Broadway for Hillary effort on this latest inclusion in the #UnitedFor campaign, which aims to show what people across the country are voting FOR amid the constant barrage of negativity and hate that has marked this election cycle.

In an email to MoveOn members announcing the high-profile Broadway stars joining the campaign, Jesse Tyler Ferguson writes:

"We're writing to you because this presidential election has been funny ... and not in a good way. The inflammatory and dangerous rhetoric coming out of the Trump presidential campaign is making "House of Cards" look like a family-friendly comedy.

"But in moments like this, we need a strong, united progressive movement more than ever-the kind of movement that helped win marriage equality in recent years, and one that will be essential to continue to work to make this country a more perfect union even after the election is over.

"Tonight, many of us will watch the third and final presidential debate, and if the past two are any indication, we can expect to see some ugly accusations from Trump. But we can't let his aggressive and reckless behavior depress us. The real response is to vote and to remember what we're voting for: values like LGBT rights, racial justice, women's equality, and so much more."

The campaign builds on MoveOn's cultural engagement this cycle.

Earlier this year, more than 100 high-profile celebrities and artists joined MoveOn.org's #UnitedAgainstHate campaign to ensure Americans vote against Donald Trump and reject Trump's dangerous campaign of hate and division, and committed to "use our platforms to bring attention to the dangers of a Trump presidency, and to the real and present threats of his candidacy." The signers included actors, producers, directors, comedians, screenwriters, musicians, fashion designers, and other artists from across the country. Collectively, these artists reach millions of followers and have committed to using their influence to ensure Americans vote against Trump this November.

MoveOn.org Political Action is a community of millions of Americans from all walks of life who are using innovative technology to lift up their voices in our democracy and build progressive power in campaigns for progressive change and in elections.
