RareMedia Productions has announced the world premiere of Judgment Day, a new comedy by Maria S. Schlatter, starring Donald Corren (Souvenir, Old Jews Telling Jokes) whom The New York Times calls "a chameleonic wonder" as part of this summer's New York International Fringe Festival. Performances begin tonight, August 9th (playing through August 25th) at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street). Michael Schwartz directs.
In Judgment Day, Broadway's Donald Corren gives a tour-de-force performance as eight wildly different characters navigating the final hours of what may be mankind's Last Day on Earth. From a live end-of-days newscast in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to a glittering rapture-themed ball in Manhattan, these disparate souls struggle to take stock of their lives as the clock ticks down to midnight. The performance schedule for Judgment Day is: tonight, August 9 at 7:15pm; Tuesday, August 13 at 7:45pm; Wednesday, August 14 at 9:30pm; Friday, August 23 at 2:30pm; Saturday, August 24 at 12pm. Tickets are $15-$18 and may be purchased online at www.fringeNYC.org. For more information visit www.judgmentdayonstage.com. Maria S.
