Chop-chop! at Golden Goose Theatre

Chop-chop! is a one-woman Spanglish show packed with energy, physical comedy and bilingual whimsy. Performer Andrea Holland bounces between English and Spanish personas in a hilariously relatable inner conflict, inspired by her own bicultural roots.

English wants to send an email. Spanish would rather sing, dance, cook, and flow with life, chasing the perfect tortilla recipe, just like mamá used to make. Cue an all-out war between toxic productivity and procrastination, served up with satire and cheeky cultural stereotyping. At its heart, Chop-chop! is a celebration of the beautiful mess of bilingual minds, and a reminder to love every part of ourselves, contradictions and all.

Expect audience interaction, sudden dance breaks, strong accents, and a whole lot of zest and effervescence. It's silly. It's heartfelt. Es una locura. It might even make you hungry...

Join the battle between the emotional and rational sides of the brain, Spanish versus English... or is it the other way round?
